The difficulties caused by the death of a party to divorce tend to arise when least expected. In those circumstances advisors are often in the unfortunate position of having to consider the legal implications of an unforeseen tragedy whilst coping with it themselves

Ben Fearnley and Lucy Owens will give an overview of the legal issues that arise on death, both in the context of death occurring during proceedings to dissolve a marriage or obtain a financial remedy and also when death occurs after the proceedings are concluded.
